Genesis Center is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help in English as a foreign language classrooms as well as during citizenship classes and computer time. Occasionally we need help in other departments such as culinary program, garden, enrollment, development, accounting. Very rewarding opportunity. Good for the individuals who have retured or planning to start teaching career. Hours available are Mon-Fri 9-12, some afternoons, and during night classes Tue, Wed, Th 6-8:30.
We also have a full day child care open for volunteers. You might need to go through criminal background check.

Description
Annually, The Genesis Center serves over 600 individuals in its adult education and workforce development programs and more than 100 children in its childcare program. Our staff and students represent more than thirty-five countries and ten language groups. The self-sufficiency of our clients depends on learning English, accessing essential life skills and obtaining occupational/job skills training so they can support themselves and better provide for the future of their families.
The Genesis Center's adult education classes and occupational/job skills training focus on enabling family members to improve their employment skills, pay scales, and prospects for promotion. On-site childcare helps adult students attend classes knowing that their children are well cared for.
