We are a 501c3 organization whose mission is: "Drawchange is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to aid global change by supplying the world's children with empowering art experiences. We have started to audio record all of our curriculum and need someone to type it up for us in Microsoft Word. It is already typed by the applications we are using so we just need someone to make sense of the transcribe and make it presentable in Microsoft Word. This will be about one art project a week to transcribe. We are looking for the help of four volunteers so we can all share the workload. If you like typing, this is the opportunity for you! Drawchange is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to empowering children from lower socioeconomic situations through the use of art therapy-based programming. Our programs teach coping skills that foster Collaboration, Creation, Dream-building, Empowerment, Imagination, Self-Esteem, and Stress-Relief.
Description
Our vision is to provide the tools neccesary so each child has the ability to fully express themselves.
Art is a vehicle to reach out to students. Engaging them with art enriches their study with all other curriculum subjects. Our strategy is aimed to spark the energy of world peace by igniting the passion of learning in the world’s children.
In using the research based principles of integrating the arts in the general curriculum, we hope to increase self-esteem and thinking skills in children to help them become better world citizens. Wherever there is a need, drawchange wants to be there providing art supplies.
