Mission Statement

Saving lives through research, innovation, education and excellence in blood, medical and laboratory services in partnership with our community.

Description

The Oregon & SW Washington Blood Program, a division of the Puget Sound Blood Center, is an independent, volunteer-supported nonprofit regional resource providing blood, research, and education of a high quality and value.

Oregon & SW Washington Blood Program supplies 100% of the blood to Clark and Cowlitz County Hospitals in Washington and is the sole provider of blood to Legacy Health Systems in the Portland metro area.

We rely on generous donors and volunteers in the community to help us support the local blood supply. We can't do that without you!

Puget Sound Blood Center also includes the Cord Blood Donation program and serves the National Bone Marrow registry. We provide blood and blood products to over 70 hospitals and clinics in Oregon and Washington State. We serve hundreds of blood donors each day at sites across Western Washington and Oregon.
