Cooking a hot meal is sometimes out of the realm of possibility for seniors. You could help to deliver hot meals to seniors in the St. Anthony Park area by becoming a Meals on Wheels driver. Mission Statement
The mission of St. Anthony Park Area Seniors is to maintain levels of independence and interdependence for seniors and their caregivers in the St. Anthony Park area, through the collaborative effors of professional staff, volunteer staff and contracted nursing services working together to integrate health services, social services, community activities, education and advocacy.
Description
Helping seniors live at home safely and independently by arranging nursing/home health and/or other community services, transportation and home repair/modification by volunteers; health promotion via flu shot clinics, blood pressure checks, exercise classes, education regarding aging, and recreational social outings; respite and other support for caregivers, etc.
