Foster Home - Save the life of a homeless pet!
Organization |
Description
Foster care volunteers provide temporary care for kittens, puppies, dogs, cats, and small mammals in their homes. By offering your time, energy, and home to an animal in need, you prepare the animal for adoption into a permanent home as well as prevent overcrowding and euthanasia in area shelters. Most of the companion animals we are able to help through the foster care program would otherwise be euthanized if they could not be placed into temporary foster homes.
Capital Animal Care provides all veterinary care as well as support for the foster homes. The foster care volunteer provides a safe, loving home, food, and care.
Skills
- Volunteers should have had some previous experience with pets, be reliable and committed to the Program. Foster Parents should expect to foster a pet for anywhere from a week to a few months depending on the age, temperament, and health of the animal.
