On Taproot Foundation pro bono projects, the Recruitment Strategist is responsible for helping a nonprofit client articulate a board structure that will support a team of board members. The Recruitment
Strategist will work with a client to develop profiles of ideal board members based on the clients talent needs. Working with a team of professionals including HR executives and a Marketing Manager, the Recruitment Strategist will also help create an effective outreach and screening strategy.
A successful Recruitment Strategist:
- Has 4 years of experience building and recruiting executive teams
- Has done full cycle recruiting or executive search and team-building, including organization design, job analysis, and recruitment program design and execution, either as a consultant or in a human resources department.
A Service Grant project requires a 3-5 hour commitment each week over the course of approximately 6 months. This opportunity is flexible enough to work around the schedule of a full-time job.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to lead, mobilize and engage professionals in pro bono service that drives social change.
Description
Most organizations tackling social problems don't have access to the marketing, design, technology, management or strategic planning resources they need to succeed. Without this talent, few are able to have their intended impact on critical issues like the environment, health and education.
Taproot is a nonprofit organization that makes business talent available to organizations working to improve society.
We engage the nation's millions of business professionals in pro bono services both through our award-winning programs and by partnering with companies to develop their pro bono programs. One day, we envision all organizations with promising solutions will be equipped to successfully take on urgent social challenges.
