About Reading Success Center

Location:

Mission Statement

The mission of the Reading Success Center is to make reading improvement services available to nonprofit groups that already have clients/members to be served.

Description

We assist other nonprofits in building self-sustaining reading improvement programs. While that takes place, we are also providing tutorial services. Once the new program has adequate volunteers and is self-sustaining, we will help another nonprofit in the same way.

The Boys & Girls Club West in St. Peters MO has provided an excellent room for these services. After-school tutoring began November 07, 6 weeks of Summer Reading Camps were held in 08 and after-school tutoring continues. We will need volunteer tutors for 7 weeks this summer as we serve children K-6 and older counselors A FREE 12 NOON LUNCH FOLLOWED BY READING AND OTHER ACTIVITIES UNTIL 2 PM. We are very short on volunteers to enable this project. Please give your time to prevent summer slide and build new READING SKILLS.
