Calling All Volunteers! We Need You!!
This annual event supports Easterseals Rhode Island programs and services.
The 20th Annual Mews Tavern Gear ’N’ Beer 6.9K will be running through Wakefield neighborhoods on Sunday, November 24, 2019 from 12:00 noon -1:00 pm.
Volunteers are needed to assist with the following tasks:
¨ Set up - 8:00 to 12:00 noon: Registration tent, water stations, and food tent
¨ Registration - 8:00 am to 1:00 pm: Handing out runner’s bibs and tee shirts
¨ Flaggers -10:30 to 1:30 pm: directing runners along the race course along residential streets
¨ Water Stations -11:00 to 1:30 pm: offering water to runners
¨ Food Servers - 12:00 to 3:00 pm: serving runners a hot buffet lunch post race
¨ Clean Up Crew- 1:00 to 4:00 pm: garbage and event breakdown detail
All volunteers will receive a long sleeve tee shirt, a letter of appreciation or community service verification, and refreshments throughout the day including coffee, doughnuts, and the hot buffet lunch served post race.
