We are currently looking for volunteers Bergen, Passaic, Essex, Union, Hudson and Morris county areas. We are seeking compassionate people with flexible schedules who are willing to be a part of a great program called Road to Recovery. Everyday thousands of cancer patients need a ride to treatment, but some may have no way of getting there. Our Road to Recovery program provides rides to and from treatment for people with cancer who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves. We are seeking volunteer drivers who donate their time and use of their car in order to help patients recieve the lifesaving treatments they need.

Drivers must have a valid driver's license for the state where they live and must have a safe reliable vehicle. Volunteer drivers are also required to have proof of automobile insurance and must have a good driving record. Driver coordinators that work with the American Cancer Society help schedule the rides and can pair a volunteer with a patient who lives close by in order to make it convenient for everyone.
