Do you enjoy hiking and meeting new friends?
Attend once, or once a week to help make an impact on the local environment.
You can help make the San Diego Riverbed safer and healthier by monitoring trash levels, graffiti, plants and wildlife and invasive weeds as well as other activities.
Riverbed Hikers have special permission to walk as a group in the riverbed and this program is lead by our River Park's representative.

The mission of the Lakeside's River Park Conservancy is to preserve and restore the biological integrity and beauty of the San Diego River while integrating recreational, educational and cultural opportunities for youth, seniors, families and citizens of East San Diego County.
Description
Lakeside's River Park Conservancy was founded in 2001 with the mission to preserve and restore the biological integrity and beauty of the San Diego River while integrating recreational, education, and cultural opportunities for youth, seniors, and families East San Diego County.
The segment of the San Diego River in Lakeside had long been the focus of extensive sand mining operations and heavy industry. Such industrial operations are coming to an end and a new phase in the river's life is at hand; one in which nature and humanity work in harmony and regional quality of life is enhanced.
