Chicago Family Directions Tutor
If you can give two hours a week, you can make a difference in the life of a child.

Tutor CPS K-3 students to improve reading skills in a safe in school after school literacy program in the Chicago Public School-Shoop Academy. Every Tuesday 3-4:30pm. CFD is an all volunteer 501(c)3 charity providing tutoring/mentoring at not cost to the school or student. The volunteer tutor/mentor role is to monitor the students self paced use of our web based iRead program, read/talk about current events and review sight words. No experience necessary. This is a great opportunity to positively impact the lives of students living near the poverty line. Everyone can be great because everyone can serve" (Martin Luther King Jr)

The mission of Chicago Family Directions, a non-profit 501(c)3 charity, is to provide foundational reading skills development to K-3 students in temporary living situations as well as students whose families live near the poverty line. We partner with schools, communities and businesses by appealing to their social responsibility initiatives to support our mission through volunteerism and financial support.

Chicago Family Directions is a 501(C)3 charity which partners with schools to provide foundational reading skills development to K-3 students whose families live in temorary living situations and/or whose families leave near the poverty line. Currently, Chicago Family Directions is tutoring iin Chicago, IL: Joliet, IL: Aurora, IL. We provide our services at no cost to the schools or te students we serve.
