PA eMentoring (sign up at www.pa-ementor.org) is looking for working and retired adults and mature college student to be online career mentors for high school students.
Q. What exactly is PA eMentoring?
A. PA eMentoring is easy, safe and fun -- and it takes just 15 minutes a week from your computer.

- Helping high school kids create college and career plans
Q. Why is being an eMentor important?
A. Research clearly shows:
- Kids with a career plan are more likely to graduate from high school, enroll in college, graduate from college and ultimately land a well-paying career that they enjoy. [1]
- Kids learn best when they have a context for their learning. [2]
- Kids benefit from positive career mentoring experiences. [3]
PA eMentoring is an easy, safe, and fun way for kids to create a college and career plan with the support of an online mentor working in a field of interest. Program completers have increased self esteem, are more aware of college and career options available to them, and are more likely to consider non -traditional college options.

Smart Futures' vision is that every student graduating from a Pennsylvania high school is prepared for college and career success.
Smart Futures' mission is to provide Pennsylvania’s educators with innovative career education resources that help students "get real" - about who they are, where they are going, and how to get there.
Smart Futures is a 501c-3 non-profit organization and a leading provider of online career education resources and training to schools and community-based organizations in Pennsylvania. Our online programs include Keys2Work, PA eMentoring, My Career Journey, and Financial Literacy 101.
Each of Smart Futures' programs is aligned to the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Career Education and Work. As a result, the content helps schools and community-based training meet required teaching standards while connecting students with the real needs and opportunities within today’s workplace.
PA eMentoring is an online career mentoring program for high school students. For working adults who serve as volunteers, PA eMentoring is a fun, safe, and easy way to provide kids with help in college and career planning -- all in 10 minutes a week from their computer.
