Each day there are kids who are removed from their homes for their own safety and placed into foster care with very few personal belongings, often with just the clothes they were wearing during intake.
Packs of Hope needs volunteers to "Fill a Pack & Fill a Need" by donating new clothing items for a child in transition. Each volunteer will get a specific checklist of items to buy and we will supply a new backpack to pack the clothes in. For some of these kiddos, this is the first time they have ever received new clothing.
This is a great group or individual project, each volunteer shops on their own time. This will also satisfy community service hours for NHS and Scouts. Some groups may prefer to have a "drive" instead and collect 1 item for the Pack like sweatshirts, pajamas, etc.
Each Pack of Hope contains a shirt, pants, socks, underwear, pj's, sweatshirt, toothbrush, and toy or book. We are partners with Jefferson, Arapahoe, Denver, Boulder, El Paso, Weld, and Douglas Counties to provide Packs of Hope to caseworkers for immediate use at no cost to the county or the child. We serve close to 1,400 kids each year and need your help!
Thank you for your support because every child deserves hope for a better tomorrow.
