VIP Services is in need of a volunteer to come and assist clients with learning basic computer skills. The tasks include: *Keyboarding skills using an online tutorial program *Helping individuals research jobs and the skills it takes to work in that position using CareerOneStop.org site *Assist an individual in creating a "My Story" presentation using PowerPoint or Word. * Support individuals with money skill building on recommended sites * Keep notes on starting skill level and progression to be shared with necessary staff * Guidance and support deom staff on directives for individuals * As you work with individuals, we welcome any creative ideas on how to best support and make learning fun for individuals in learning basic computer skills.
This opportunity would be great for individuals in the education field, computer sciences, administrative field, new or retired or for anyone who would like to improve someone's life one skill at a time.
