Mission Statement

Hope Community Health Center exists to provide compassionate affordable medical care to the uninsured in the East Valley that addresses physical, social, spiritual, and emotional needs while sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

Description

HCHC is an outpatient Family Practice clinic for the uninsured that was established in 2005. Rev. David Engel established the clinic and is the Head Chaplain and President of the clinic. The clinic provides basic preventative medical care and maintenance care for chronic illnesses like diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, and asthma. Clients who decide to visit HCHC's chaplains are screened for immediate physical needs like food, clothing, or jobs. Chaplains refer folks to existing networks or churches to help meet those various needs. HCHC's clientele are from all spectrums of life from the poor, the underemployed, unemployed, small business owner, and retired. HCHC has 4 volunteer providers. Three providers are Family Practice physicians and one is a nurse practitioner. Dr. Ron Sell is the Medical Director of HCHC. Hope Community Health Center is open on Thursdays from 12-3:30pm and on Saturday from 8am-12pm. HCHC receives its funding from private, corporate, and AZ tax credits for the working poor.
