ACDI/VOCA is an economic development organization that fosters broad-based economic growth, raises living standards and creates vibrant communities. Based in Washington, D.C., ACDI/VOCA has worked in 145 countries since 1963. Its practice areas are agribusiness, food security,enterprise development,
financial services, and community development. ACDI/VOCA provides both long- and short-term assistance that focuses on economic growth at the grassroots level where long-lasting advancement begins and democratic traditions take hold. This assistance is tailored to meet the unique needs of every ACDI/VOCA partner. ACDI/VOCA invites you to take part in an international people-to-people volunteer opportunity where your professional experience can help transform the world in which we live. As an ACDI/VOCA volunteer, you'll work side by side with entrepreneurs managing agribusinesses and small-and medium-scale enterprises, financial professionals, cooperative members, farmers and other local leaders in developing countries throughout the world. ACDI/VOCA has particular needs for mid to late career professionals as volunteers from the following sectors: Agribusiness, Community Development, Information Technology & E-Commerce, Food Processing, Business Planning and Management, Banking & Finance, Farm/Rural Credit System, Agricultural Cooperatives, Horticulture and Staple Crop Production & Post-Harvest Handling, Agricultural Trade Associations.
