Job Description
Help support your Classical Public Radio Station: help in the office in the following ways:
- Receptionist duties: warmly answer phone and cordially greet guests
- Provide stellar customer service to listeners, donors, members, and prospects with questions and issues
- Process incoming and outgoing deliveries, faxes, and mail
- Maintain strict confidentiality of financial, donor, and membership records
- Other duties as assigned

Classical KING FM Event Volunteers
KING FM is seeking volunteers to attend classical music concerts in the community and represent KING FM at our promotional table.
The ideal candidate for this volunteer position:
- Is a regular KING FM listener who is familiar with the station’s programming and/or listening experience, and will be a positive advocate for KING FM
- Has a pleasant and warm demeanor
- Enjoys talking to people about music and the arts, and is not bashful about conversing with strangers
- Can lift 20-25 pounds and does not have serious mobility constraints
Perks to the volunteer will include:
- The chance to see the performance or event for which the table is present
- Additional tickets to other events and opportunities
- Other KING FM perks to be determined

Mission Statement
The purpose of Classical 98.1 is to support the broadcasting of classical music in Western Washington and thereby further the education and involvement of the general public audience in Classical Music and advance the appreciation and performance of opera, symphonic music and chamber music using a wide spectrum of technologies to deliver the highest quality experience.
Description
KING FM was founded by Dorothy Stimson Bullitt in 1948. In 1994, her daughters, Harriet Bullitt and Patsy Bullitt Collins, gave the commercial radio station to three Seattle non-profits to serve as a revenue stream for those arts (Seattle Opera, Seattle Symphony, and Artsfund). On May 2, 2011, KING FM itself switched to a listener-supported, non-profit radio station (Classical 98.1).
As a non-profit organization, Classical KING FM 89.1 is KING FM is committed to making great classical music more accessible, partnering with the arts community, and increasing our support for arts education.
