The requirements:
We need 12 people per performance. Each would arrive around 6:00pm, after a brief review of duties and assignments would take up their assorted positions and work until 7:00pm. They would get to see the show for free that night. Positions include concessions, door greeters, ushers, ticket tear-ers and will-call window.
At intermission, 4 individuals would help with the Raffle ticket sales.
At the end of the evening, it is really nice when a few people hold open the doors and wish everyone a good night and if the rest could do a quick walk through of the theatre for trash and programs, it really facilitates everyone's departure. This only takes 5 minutes at the most.
The team would be able to wear their team colors (if you have them: i.e. vests, pins, ties, hats, etc).
The team would be acknowledged from the stage at the curtain speech.
There is no cost to be a team member. We don't worry about who is part of the team, for example spouses or neighbors are welcome. It is up to the team leader to determine qualification. We only request a minimum age of 10 to handle the duties.
Although we are interested in one-time usher teams, we prefer teams that can make a commitment to the entire season. It does not have to be the same 12 people. For instance, the La Crosse Lions are scheduled to work every 2nd Friday of each of our performances all season long. This tends to help groups plan their schedules well in advance.
Once you've experienced the ease and fun being an usher, and after getting a $21-$25 value with your seat, why wouldn't you want to be a part of La Crosse Community Theatre for every show?
