Bring the characters from California's past into your community's present! Rancho Los Cerritos is currently recruiting volunteers for it's Living History Tour Program, in which docents lead guests through the historic adobe house as "cast members" from the Rancho's history.

Volunteers will select an historic persona and explore the world of living history interpretation through character development, storytelling, interactive games, and improvisation techniques. By the end of the course, volunteers will have a comprehensive knowledge of: Early California and Rancho Los Cerritos history, lifestyles and domestic work at the Rancho, fashions and culture of early California and Victorian America

We will be hosting a Volunteer Open House, which will introduce perspective volunteers to the various opportunities we have, including costumed living history docents, unconstumed house docents, garden docents, and our educational programs.
