Our Family Literacy program helps parents improve their basic English skills so they can help their children succeed in school. While parents are in class, children explore age-appropriate literacy activities, including children's books and crafts. We need classroom assistants to help with children ages 0 to 10 (classrooms are divided by age.) Classes run from September 2015 through May 2016, meeting Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:30 - 8:30 pm. We are looking for interns who can make a 3 month commitment. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to improve their Spanish skills as well as for students looking for service-learning credit.
