Bring a little sunshine to someone's life spending a couple hours a week volunteering in your home town. Visit with patients in their own homes or in nursing homes, assisted living facilities. Sit with a patient and listen to their stories, read to them, hold their hand, listen to music together, play board games, just "be there". Give a much needed break to the family member who is with their loved one 24/7 so they can go shopping, mow the lawn, go to a dr.'s appointment. Training provided. No cost involved.
