ReadWest seeks volunteers to be trained as Basic Reading Tutors for adults with low-literacy. No teaching experience needed. We will show you how. The training begins with a 1-hour orientation, followed by one Saturday of training. After training, volunteers will be assigned an adult student and meet once a week for two hours. It is fun and rewarding! Help improve literacy in New Mexico by becoming an adult literacy tutor. For more information and training dates please call 505-892-1131.
One hour Orientation: Thursday, April 25 at 10 AM OR 6 PM. One Day Training: Saturday, April 27, 9 AM - 5 PM

Description
ReadWest has been helping adults learn to read, write, and speak English for over 30 years. Trained volunteers meet with an adult learner once a week for two hours. We help improve the reading and writing levels of English speakers. We also help English Language Learners acquire survival English and workplace vocabulary. NO teaching experience needed. We have an all English approach, so NO foreign language experience is required.
