When assisting the largest organization for girls in the world, no job is too small. We value your commitment to our girls and, as a Girl Scout Shop Assistant, your time and expertise is crucial to the success of our young girls.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing prompt and courteous customer service to customers calling or visiting the Girl Scout Shop

• Utilizing point-of-sale computer software, assisting Girl Scout staff by receipting purchases

• Pulling merchandise for back-ordered, telephoned, faxed, and e-mailed orders

• Processing bank card purchases by utilizing UMB dialer and recording authorization numbers

• Restocking shelves of merchandise

• Keeping merchandise and displays neat and orderly

• Assisting with new order check in, verifiing items and quantities with packing slips

Volunteers are required to:

• Be punctual and organized

• Have strong customer service skills

• Be abile to interact with diverse customers on site and on the telephone

• Be able to handle money and make change

• Have a knowledge of basic computer software

• Regular physical abilities associated with work in a retail shop, including but not limited to the ability to walk, stand, reach with arms, speak, hear, and lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
