Each month the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired works with community agencies and free medical clinics to provide dilated eye exams and glasses to the medically underserved in the lowcountry. We partner with licensed Optometrists, who provide the exams and identify risk factors for vision loss in these clients. The average clinic lasts 6 hours, seeing up to 40 patients. Clinic times/days are flexible and Optometrists are offered a compensation.
This is a great opportunity for any licensed Optometrist looking to help in the community, and make a little extra money at the same time! Mission medicine experience is a plus!
