Be a compassionate advocate for an elderly person living in a group or nursing home by serving as a court-appointed Guardian in our Guardianship Assistance Program (GAP). The elderly person is unable to make informed decisions due to mental impairment (such as Alzheimer's), and has no family or friends to help them. As a court-appointed Guardian, you would: Provide the comfort of human contact by visiting person twice a month to check on health and well-being. Make decisions, including medical, in person's best interest; Advocate for person's needs; Attend educational meetings; Complete quarterly reports for GAP and forms required by Probate Court.

Description
Meals on Wheels of Southwest OH & Northern KY provides Meals-On-Wheels, medical and specialized transportation, and independent living assistance services to seniors and disabled individuals in Greater Cincinnati and surrounding areas. Our programs also include Pet Portions, which provides free food to our clients cats and dogs, and PetKare, which provides clients with vouchers to be used at local select veterinary facilities for their pet's care. Meals on Wheels of Southwest OH & Northern KY also partners with more than 60 WesleyLinks churches to help seniors in their congregations secure information and services that will help them stay in their homes as long as possible.
