Junior Achievement Volunteers -- Hancock County
ORGANIZATION: Junior Achievement Inc.
Please visit the new page to apply.
We have started recruiting volunteers for the volunteers for the 2014-2015 school year! Junior Achievement is a non-profit organization that partners with volunteers from the community to teach K-12 students about financial literacy, work-readiness skills and entrepreneurship. As a volunteer, you will use JA's fun and easy materials to talk to students for about 5-10 minutes and then lead them in a hands-on activity for the remainder of the 30-45 minute visit. Typically, volunteers will meet with his/her assigned class for five to seven weekly visits, depending on the grade level and program that you are teaching. JA will also provide all new volunteers with a new volunteer training to prepare them on how to manage the classroom as well as use the JA materials. ** Please note, each community we work with is different and may only have targeted grade levels participating in programs!
