Do you like to watch tv, look at pictures, make someone smile?!?! Or even file, make copies, etc.?
Well, we at APEX HOSPICE and PALLIATIVE CARE need YOU! We are just an office in Oakbrook and our dear patients reside in any one of the following: Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, Hospitals and/or private homes (all throughout the Chicagoland/Suburban areas).
APEX HOSPICE and PALLIATIVE CARE has been around for a few years; we thrive on giving the best care and compassion to our patients and their loved ones.

As a Direct Patient Hospice Volunteer, you may provide needed services in making a difference in end of life care. Such services include: companionship, emotional support to patient and family if present, reading, listening to life review, hand holding and letter writing.
PLEASE KNOW THAT AS A DIRECT PATIENT VOLUNTEER, YOU WILL NOT BE DOING ANYTHING CLINICAL.
My main focus is that this will be a wonderful, heartwarming experience for our patients AND our Volunteers.

Description
APEX Hospice and Palliative Care seeks to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of patients and families who are facing a terminal illness. We focus on quality of life by providing comfort, company and active treatment of distressing symptoms, with the patient and their family as the focus of care.
Volunteers are an integral part of the Apex team and can find meaning, purpose and peace in supporting patients and loved ones during this time. Apex Hospice has successfully placed volunteers in roles that add to the quality of life of the patient and family while using the gifts of the volunteers.
