The SheRox Women's Triathlon Series is coming to Federal Way, WA for its race on July 10th.
Join us just outside Seattle, WA at Steel Lake Park in Federal Way, WA for a swim, bike and run course traversing through Steel Lake Park and surrounding Federal Way.
At SheRox, all participants will be welcomed back at the finish line with lots of refreshments, and a post-race celebration!
Volunteering for the Race Crew means you will be supporting hundreds of women attaining their goal of completing a Sprint triathlon. We need your help to make this event spectacular!
The event is produced by SheRox, an organization that empowers women to train, participate, and complete triathlons in cities around the country. They look for groups of volunteers from organizations to help with the event in a variety of ways on race day: course marshals, swim buddies/lifeguards, finish line help, etc.
For every volunteer a non-profit organization has, we will give a minimum of $10/person. For groups of 15 or more, there is a significant bonus amount added. Again, these funds would go directly to your organization.
Each Volunteer Receives:
- Official Race Crew t-shirt
- Community Service (if needed)
- Satisfaction of helping others and your community
- A great time!

Mission Statement
We are pleased to announce that the SheROX Triathlon Series has partnered with the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) which will serve as the Official Charitable Partner of the 2011 SheROX Triathlon Series. OCRF is the largest private philanthropy in the U.S., dedicated exclusively to funding ovarian cancer research. OCRF's mission is to find a method of early detection and ultimately a cure for ovarian cancer.
Description
The SheROX Triathlon Series and Life Time Fitness, Inc. have partnered to create a nine event international series beginning in 2011. The expanded SheROX Triathlon Series now includes five races from existing SheROX markets (Asbury Park, NJ; Aurora, CO;Philadelphia, PA; Webster, MA and Bermuda), three existing races from the long-running U.S. Women's Triathlon Series (USWTS) (Naperville, IL; Federal Way, WA and San Diego, CA), and one new event (Detroit, MI). The Series will continue to include the complimentary SheROX Mentor Program. Additionally, The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) -- the long-time charitable partner of the USWTS - will serve as the Official Charitable Partner of the 2011 SheROX Triathlon Series.
