ARE YOU:
Friendly and outgoing? Dependable? Looking for a way to help others in your free time?
Sometimes the biggest challenge in cancer treatment is getting there.
The American Cancer Society's Road to Recovery program provides transportation for cancer patients to and from related medical/treatment appointments. Rides are provided by volunteer drivers who donate their time and the use of their personal vehicle.
Road to Recovery is offered to cancer patients who have no means of transportation and/or who are too ill to drive themselves. Access to transportation is a major factor in cancer treatment, and Road to Recovery offers assistance to cancer patients who otherwise might not be able to keep their critical treatment appointments.
Want to help someone along the Road to Recovery?
