ORGANIZATION: Healing the Children Southwest Chapter

HTCSW's local program called "Hardship Relief Project" is designed for families who have financial problems when their children fall through the cracks of the medical system. The coordinator's time is spent primarily with service providers and not directly with families. The volunteer works closely with the Executive Director of HTCSW, keeps records, summarizes distributions quarterly, disusses project with the Board of Directors, keeps in touch with cooperating partners, responds quickly when a request is made, collects data once a year regarding satisfaction. time commitment is approximately 20 hours per month. HTCSWdoes not have an office; volunteers work out of their homes.

Healing the Children Southwest Chapter (founded 1989) is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization with headquarters in Albuquerque, New Mexico. We are part of the national organization of Healing the Children, which has US chapters and international partners.
