We need help reaching out to people to help them reduce their carbon footprints and their home energy use, while creating quality jobs in our community.
SustainableWorks is the culmination of the efforts of hundreds of Washington residents acting on their concerns for the environment, energy independence, energy costs and family wage jobs. Our mission is to create quality jobs and a healthier environment in Washington State by providing everyone with the opportunity to receive an energy saving retrofit in their home.
There are various ways you can volunteer for SustainableWorks including:
- Presentations & event tables
- Canvasing & talking to your neighbors
- Literature drops
- Hanging flyers & planting yard signs
- Office work
- Leadership committee
- Anything else you can think of!

Mission Statement
SustainableWorks is a non-profit energy efficiency general contractor created to help homeowners with home retrofits to reduce energy use, while also creating and supporting quality jobs in Washington.
Description
We make saving energy, saving money and protecting the planet easy and affordable. We will coordinate the entire energy retrofit process with our easy 3-step process.
- Energy Audit: Our skilled workers will spend 3-4 hours doing a comprehensive inspection of your home to determine where you can save energy. In some areas, this includes free installations of CFL light bulbs.
- Energy Consultation: Your Energy Consultant will review our findings with you and suggest the most cost-effective steps to reduce your energy usage. You will select the energy saving improvements that you feel comfortable with. We can even help connect you to financing.
- Energy Saving Retrofit: After you decide what energy saving improvements you'd like to make, we coordinate your entire project - contractors, project management, and final inspection - for you.
