Please Note: The opportunity described below is through FiftyForward RSVP. For RSVP volunteer opportunities, you must be at least 55 years of age.
FiftyForward RSVP has recently formed two Knit and Crochet Groups that meet at senior high-rise communities.
We are looking for volunteers to provide support and direction to group members who are working on knitting and crocheting projects. Duties include:
- Helping participants select patterns and appropriate yarn.
- Collecting the names of volunteers who attend the sessions.
- Collecting one-page registration forms from new members.
- Collecting finished projects, making sure particpants have recorded their names and hours spent completing the project.
- Bringing the completed paperwork and projects to the RSVP office.
Initial interview and orientation for this opportunity take place at FiftyForward RSVP, 174 Rains Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
