Volunteering with animals is fun, but there is real work to do, too. Our animals are only shown on weekends so keeping their 'condos' clean and fresh will help to get them adopted. If you love kittens and cats, you'll enjoy working with our group. We are 100% volunteers working together to save kitties.

A youth volunteer may be asked to assist in any of the following activities:
*Participate in adoption events as groomers and socializers.
*Adoption center cleaning (litter boxes, adoption rooms, laundry, etc.).
*Prepare condos for adoption events.
*Prepare newsletters and pamphlets for distribution.
*Stock retail shelves and pricing merchandise.
*Sort food for foster homes, adoption packets, and public handouts.

Kids ages 12 years old and up are welcome as volunteers! Please refer to our Youth Volunteer page for more information on how kids can volunteer, including with their families!

Volunteer orientations are held on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 10am. A parent/guardian is required to attend orientation and the youth’s first volunteer shift with them. Please email youthvolunteer@angelswish.org if you have any questions.

Potential youth volunteers need to complete the youth volunteer application prior to orientation.

About Angel's Wish

Location:

161 Horizon Drive, Suite 106, Verona, WI 53593, US

Mission Statement

Angel's Wish is dedicated to reducing animal overpopulation, rehoming companion animals, and raising awareness of animal welfare issues in South Central Wisconsin.

Description

Angel's Wish is a non-profit, 501c3 agency, staffed entirely by volunteers. We do not maintain a shelter, but instead use volunteer foster homes to provide a less-stressful environment until our animals find new homes. We actively seek out new adoptive homes via our website, Petfinder.com, and through adoption events at our adoption center, at Mound's Petfood Warehouse, PETsMART East, and PETsMART West. We promote spaying/neutering of companion animals to help reduce pet overpopulation, and practice neuter before adoption. We also provide microchipping to the public to help lost animals find their way home.
