Our mission is to provide emergency financial, education, employment and morale assistance to our Louisiana service members, wounded warriors, veterans and their families.

Description

PURPOSE

As a volunteer led, non-profit organization, our purpose is to provide a program that doesn’t just stop at financial assistance but leads to a path of financial recovery. We assist Louisiana service members, wounded warriors, veterans and their families in education assistance, financial recovery and job placement with military friendly companies who are aware of their obligations of duty.

WHO WE SUPPORT

We support Louisiana National guardsman and Reservists, regardless of activation status, wounded warriors, veterans and their families, in addition to the Active Duty military components in our state.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

We are dedicated to keeping it local. With so many national non-profit organizations, our local heroes can be overlooked when donations go into a "national fund". When you support LHP, you are supporting the service members who are residents of our state and members of our communities.

When you support LHP not only are you supporting the service member stationed in Louisiana but you are supporting the soldier who teaches our children, the marine reservists that delivers our mail, the coast guardsman who rescues our citizens from a sinking vessel, the air national guardsmen that flies over our skies at night when a threat is detected in our airspace, the veteran who served honorably or the family who sacrifices time with their loved ones so we can sleep safely at night.
