About The Nature Conservancy

Location:

Mission Statement

The mission of The Nature Conservancy is to conserve the lands and waters upon which all life depends, and for nearly 60 years, we've been working in Oregon to do just that. We're bringing people together to solve the biggest conservation challenges of our time by transforming policy, inspiring communities to take action, protecting vital habitats and natural resources and improving livelihoods.

Description

Our goals are to: tackle climate change, protect land and water, provide sustainable food and water, and create healthy cities. In Oregon we've had great successes with restoring sagebrush habitats, creating sustainable fisheries, securing ground water supplies, providing working grasslands and ensuring forest health. We strongly advocate for diversity and inclusion and are currently working hard to break down barriers that limit access and enjoyment of nature.
