Are you a nursing student? Have you benefited from hospice services? Are you retired? Do you enjoying helping others? If you said yes, this is a great opportunity for you.
Visit with hospice patients to provide companionship and respite care. Volunteers will visit with patients 1 - 2 hours a week talking to patients, reading, playing cards, or helping patients write letters. Volunteers can sit with patients while family members may need a break or have to leave for appointments. Volunteers can also provide hand massage, aromatherapy, or gardening.
There are opportunities to visit with hospice patients in Frankenmuth, Saginaw, the Thumb area, and surrounding areas within 50 miles of Fraknemuth.
