A Little TIme, A Profound Effect

Compassus Hospice is seeking volunteers who would like to make small quilts for our patients. Ideally they would be 4x5 feet or 4x6 feet, but any size is welcome of course! These hand made quilts can bring a lot of joy and comfort to people at the end of life, as they are a remembrance of when they were younger.

Do you feel called to give the gift of your time and talent to make quilts for our patients? If so, please email Kim Iannacci at kimberly.iannacci@compassus.com or call the office at 978 777-8222.

You can make a difference in the life of someone at the end of life!

Description

Compassus Hospice volunteers play a vital role in carrying out our mission to preserve each patient’s dignity while removing the fear associated with dying. Individuals who are 18 and older who are willing to share one to four hours per week are encouraged to apply to our program. Serving as a volunteer will enrich your own life in ways you can’t begin to imagine.

No previous experience in the medical field is necessary, and you will be prepared for your role with a free, comprehensive training program. This training will help you learn how to provide emotional support, companionship and respite care to patients and families.
