Volunteers are needed to assist at Civil War Days, Naper Settlement's annual reenactment event. Join us as the grounds are transformed into a Civil War encampment where thousands of visitors can meet famous figures of the past! Be there as reenactors stage a Civil War battle, complete with roaring cannons and marching infantry!
Dates: Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.
Volunteer Shifts: 9:30AM - 1PM or 12:30PM - 4PM.
Volunteer positions include:
- advance ticket assistance
- greeters
- program guide distributers
- food sales
Volunteers must be at least a sophomore in high school. We have various assignments throughout the weekend. Volunteers are welcome to stay and enjoy the event free of charge before or after the completion of their volunteer shift! Volunteers will receive a summer season t-shirt and free meal provided by our sponsor!

Description
Naper Settlement is a history museum that serves northeastern Illinois as a unique educational and cultural resource. Through its costumed interpreters and 30 historic buildings located on the 13-acre grounds, history is brought to life with educational and hands-on activities for 150,000 visitors each year.
Naper Settlement is just steps away from downtown Naperville. Open year-round, museum provides fun and interactive learning opportunities for all ages. Become a part of our community as we portray and compare daily life from pioneer to Victorian to modern times.
