Do you enjoy playing and planning games? Do you enjoy promoting reading and encouraging learning? Do you have a sport or fun skill you would like to share with children? Do you want to be a part of shaping a healthy and thriving community? Do you want to make a difference in the life of a child?
This is a great opportunity for high school or college students interested in Elementary or Junior High Education.
Eastside Recreation Center Summer Camp
School age children from 5 to 13 years old will enjoy a fun filled day that includes sport specific and team oriented play, swimming, arts and crafts. Our goal is to provide activities that promote teamwork, spark creative thinking and develop a healthy lifestyle.
The camp meets Monday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. On Monday, Wednesday and Friday the camp meets at the Eastside Recreation Center, 1080 E. Chicago Street. On Tuesday and Thursday the camp meets at Lords Park Pavilion and Pool.
Volunteers: Assist with supporting the Eastside Recreation Center staff with activities that will promote positive and healthy lifestyles for youth. Activities will include sport specific and team oriented play, swimming, arts and crafts.
Requests: A minimum of a weekly commitment for summer program is requested.
