Eastside Recreation Center Spring Break Camp Assistants
March 28 to April 1, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Calling ALL willing hearts who love children! Do you enjoy playing and planning games? Do you want to share arts and crafts with school-age children? Do you enjoy promoting reading and encouraging learning? Do you have a sport or fun skill you would like to share with children? Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers to assist the Spring Break Camp staff with arts and craft preparation, reading, soccer, computer lab supervision and assist with supervising fun physical fitness activities and games. This is a great opportunity for high school or college students interested in Early Childhood or Elementary Education.
Requirements: Volunteers must be 16 years old or older. Any volunteer under the age of 18 must have a waiver form signed by a parent or guardian. Orientation will be required prior to beginning your volunteer shift. Orientation is on March 10th at The Centre of Elgin at 7:00 p.m. Volunteers must pass a background check and sign a waiver. Commitment: A minimum commitment of a one or two days during Spring Break Week is requested.
