Clothing the Homeless is seeing the tremendous need for hair cuts for the homeless both men and women. Right now we have one gal who comes out once a month and cuts hair. It makes such a big difference it can make the difference of someone getting a job or not. We go out mainly Sat. afternoons and sometimes Sun. every other month.
Please contact me if this sounds like a way you would like to give back to those who are so needy and without hope.
No specific date is set so reply back if this is something you would like to do.
Please contact me for time and directions.
You would need to be experienced with proper training and supply your tools, cape and a spray bottle to wet the person's hair.
Your talents could make a huge difference.

About Clothing the Homeless
Location:
c/o Journey Christian Church, 4849 Alton Parkway., Irvine, CA 92604, US
Mission Statement
Our goal is to meet the necessary needs of the homeless population with adequate clothing for the different seasons and elements of weather. We also want to provide decent, clean clothing to give these people a boost in their already low self esteem. This will help in scheduling and appearing at interviews if they look presentable. We believe with the amount of clothing that is thrown away every day there is no reason people are going without decent, basic clothing. Our goal is to distribute them to the people who are in need and not drop them off somewhere thinking it will get done.
Description
We have been going into the city of Santa Ana for over 12 years now, and have recently started distributing in the city of Costa Mesa too.
We give bags and bags of clothing to the Salvation Army Emergency Shelter and Isaiah House (a shelter for women.) Plus WHW an organization that gives people business attire clothing for job interviews and jobs.
We provide clothing when requested for Skid Row homeless and other areas in Southern Calif. We have provided clothing to many American Indian Reservations.
In between are mobile distributions we are busy collecting, sorting, washing, and marking sizes on each article. We store all of our donations in a storage facility.
