The Cap2Cap bike event, held each year in May (this year on Saturday, May 14th), is the Virginia Capital Trail Foundation’s largest fundraiser and requires hundreds of volunteers to be successful.

The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation is a 501c(3) organization and is the principle advocate for the completion and enhancement of a 55-mile long trail stretching between Richmond and Williamsburg. Our mission is to raise public awareness, safe usage and ongoing enhancement of this multi-use Trail through advocacy, community events and educational outreach. We fervently believe once complete, this Trail will be an attraction that will make all Virginians proud.
