ORGANIZATION: National MS Society - Gateway Area Chapter

It is a day when volunteers spread throughout the community, descending on the homes of individuals who are affected by multiple sclerosis. Our volunteers meet, pick up their team packets, supplies, and tools, and head out to make a difference in lives of people with MS.

Jobs include:

  • Gardening / Landscaping
  • Trimming hedges
  • Moving mulch
  • Installing gutter guards
  • Painting
  • Wash windows
  • Carpeting
  • Plumbing
  • Small electrical repairs / installations
  • General maintenance

Requirements:

We are looking for committed individuals in St. Louis, MO area who want to help people who are unable to complete necessary household tasks themselves. This event happens the 4th weekend of October and on an as-needed basis throughout the year. No special skills necessary, just a desire to help!

Through its home office and nationwide network of chapters, the National MS Society provides assistance to over a million people annually in its continuing mission to end the devastating effects of multiple sclerosis.

Seeking volunteers to the MS cause is the very core of our business. Each year the Society organizes a series of community events that provide many opportunities for the enthusiastic volunteer. The Society offers four key fund-raising activities:
