Faith Feeds routinely gleans from the Lexington Farmers Markets on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday afternoons, and from the Bluegrass Farmers Markets on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday (2 locations). It consists of obtaining boxes, arriving at the Market near closing, accepting donations from farmers and delivering them to a specified location - church or emergency food agency.
We currently need gleaners for the Lexington Farmers' Market on Thursdays (E. Maxwell and S. Broadway) and on Sundays (Southland Drive).

Description
Basic Operations of GleanKY
Building connections in the community.
Gleaning
Collecting excess fresh produce from farmers, orchards, groceries, individuals and Plant a Row and delivering the produce to emergency food agencies and hunger ministries feeding the hungry. Also working with churches and other organizations to preserve what food cannot be used fresh.
