Some experience recruiting and working with individuals with passion,skills, committment and integrity to serve multicultural populations with focus on awareness and education of diabetes, hypertension and end stage renal (kidney) disease and organ and tissue donor education in high risk populations. Be willing to participate at all levels including fund development, health activities and board service. Committment to the cause. Also promote organ and tissue donation in those populations. Need focused members with good contacts with corporations, foundations and various donors. Doctors with experience in the fields of nephrology, endocrinology, renal transplantation, internal medicine and nutrition are needed. Nephrology or dialysis nurses also. Business professionals could serve as well. Asssist with fund development. Advisement members can serve roles if unable to serve on the board. Students, retirees and seniors, welcome! Flexible schedules and hours. Business plus fun. Can do fundraising as well with individuals, businesses and corporations.

Mission Statement
A multicultural health agency that provides awareness, early warning health screenings, health promotion and disease prevention tools,health education and the most current research to under insured ,under served, high- risk populations who are predisposed to develeloping kidney (renal) disease and (esrd), diabetes and hypertension (high blood pressure) that leads to kidney failure.
Renal transplantation promotion and educational materials, community outreach and health screenings are an integral part of our programs. The corporation endeavors to change the face of these illnesses through better remedies and therapies in their treatment modalities to serve affected communities in a progressive and comprehensive way.
Our goal is to alleviate some of the health care disparity and provide some access to health screenings and health care information to high- risk multicultural communities.
Description
Provides access to critical and preventive, health care information education,diagnostic screeningss and; the promotion of medical and genetic research along with organ and tissue donation information to families and friends.
Provides tools or access to information. Trains-educates clients in the proper usage of self -monitoring equipment,refers to health care professional for follow up.
Some "Hands on" training to promote participation and enhance learning. Provides resosurces and referral information through our web site. www.stop-esrd.org
