Volunteers are needed to assist with various activities for our annual fundraiser; CAFE 5K Family Fun Run/Walk
Some 5K volunteer opportunities are needed prior to the event such as:
- Packet Pick-up: Volunteers are needed to help put goody bags together, organize registration information, and distribute goody bags.
- Solicit donations (food, beverages, snacks and after race meal)
- Assist with mailings
- Work the registration table on day of event
- Help set up and clean up
- Work the silent auction table
- Work the food table
- Assist with the kids area
- Any other duties as see fit

Mission Statement
CAFE Kids offers academic remediation, mentoring and enrichment programs for middle school students through a creative arts after school program.
CAFE Community provides workshops that engage adults and children in programs that enhance their educational, social and physical well-being.
Description
CAFE Kids is an after school program grounded in the arts, including dance, theater, musical instruments, and the visual arts. The center uses the arts as a primary focus for academic remediation. It employs SOL-aligned activities for learning; it endeavors to increase self-confidence and enhance overall life-engagement. Tutors and mentors provide encouragement, leadership, and promote healthy development of interpersonal skills which are essential for positive self-esteem building.
CAFE Community offers a multitude of fun filled and health related workshops including; Zumba, healthy cooking, steel drumming, dance and a variety of other classes. CAFE will also offer parenting classes, English acquisition, and computer training, in order to enrich the mind and promote skill building.
