Be a bell ringerfor theRed Kettle Campaign that starts on November 19rd, 2013. Dress in holiday attire, sing, dance, and be the spirit of Christmas. Being a seasonal organization, the Army can’t emphasize enough how important it is to be involved.
Kettle locations’ hours vary depending on foot-traffic; the average shift for a Kettle volunteer is three to four hours. Volunteers do not solicit or proselytize, but merely greet passersby with a smile, a holiday greeting, and (of course) a ring of the bell! The experience for the greeter/volunteer is very rewarding.
Locations are in Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock, Hutto and Pflugerville.
Stores: Walmart, Sam’s, Fry’s Electronics, Hobby Lobby and Walgreen’s
Schedule:
Monday through Wednesday from 10:00am to 7:00pm.
Thursday and Friday from 11:00am to 8:00pm.
Saturday from 9:00am to 9:00pm.

Description
The Salvation Army’s national brand strategy and distinct identifiable message is "Doing The Most Good". Moreover, it is a promise the organization makes to its contributors, clients, associates, officers and employees. The idea of Doing the Most Good originated from Evangeline Booth, daughter of William Booth, the founder of The Salvation Army.
She said:
"There is no reward equal to that of doing the most good to the most people in the most need."
The Salvation Army pledges to Do The Most Good with contributions of money, time and resources, evidenced in that 82 cents of every dollar donated are directly allocated to services that assist people in need.
We are Doing The Most Good with your contributions of time, money and resources.
