Each month the Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired provides dilated eye exams and glasses to the medically underserved in the lowcountry. We rely on trained volunteers to assist us during clinics, helping with everything from client intake to vision screening. The average clinic lasts 6 hours, seeing up to 40 patients.
We are currently looking for volunteers interested in being trained to work in our scheduled clinics. This volunteer opportunity is perfect for someone interested in the medical field, or anyone who would like to learn more about vision and eye health.
Please reply to this post stating your interest, or you can also call the Association for the Blind at 843-723-6915 for more information.
