The "Friends of Cantata" is a group of friends, family and supporters of Cantata Academy Chorale. You may have noticed the "Friends" at one of our concerts--or maybe not! Our Friends help out at concerts by greeting patrons, selling tickets, acting as ushers and cleaning crew, setting up the after-glows, and - finally - enjoying the beautiful music. Because the Friends handle the little jobs behind the scenes, our singers can focus on the music!
The Friends group is seeking additional volunteers for our concerts this season throughout the metro area:
October 23, 2011: "In Jubilant Song" (Rochester Hills, MI)
December 4, 2011: "Magnificent Magnificat" (Grosse Pointe Park, MI)
March 18, 2012: "Travel the Globe" (Detroit, MI)
June 3, 2012: "In Faith and Love" (Orchard Lake, MI)

By fostering an atmosphere in which fine vocalists may excel, we will share our love of music with our audiences and community.
Description
Founded in the fall of 1961, Cantata Academy, a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization, is dedicated to high caliber choral performance and outreach to communities throughout the Detroit metropolitan area and the world. The Chorale, now entering its historic 50th season, is an auditioned adult chorus of approximately 40 singers performing throughout Southeast Michigan.
