Mission Statement

The mission of Riding with HEART is to improve the life of physically and cognitively challenged adults, children and their families and to provide youth development through our diverse equine-assisted programs.

Description

Riding with HEART is a 501(C) 3 Non-Profit organization located in Pittstown, NJ on 30 Green Acres Preserved Farmland. Riding with HEART (RWH) provides a multitude of equine-assisted activities and therapies beneficial to adults and children with physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities.

Riding with HEART offers a full, comprehensive equine experience. Whether participants are enjoying the benefits of adaptive therapeutic riding, they are also encouraged to have face-to-face contact with the horses. Grooming, leading and spending time in the company of horses also builds confidence and can offer a safe place to get away from the challenges faced by so many individuals. Our specially trained therapy horses are the best part of the Riding with HEART team.

Programs include Adaptive Therapeutic Horseback Riding, social skills for individuals on the Autism Spectrum, summer programs, at-risk youth development, and programs for all other physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges.
